Il lavoro dell’OIP: un possibile contributo al cambiamento dei Dipartimenti di prevenzione The work of OIP: a possible contribution to the change in the Department of Prevention Francesco Calamo-Specchia Professore Associato di Igiene, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Roma, coordinatore operativo nazionale OIP Parole chiave: Dipartimento, prevenzione, osservatorio, organizzazione sanitaria, dati quantitativi, rilevazioni qualitative RIASSUNTO L’OIP, dalla sua istituzione nel 2010 alle ultime rilevazioni del 2015 riguardanti il 65% dei  Dipartimenti di prevenzione italiani, ha costruito un sistema di controllo epidemiologico oggettivo  per rilevare assetti organizzativi, dotazioni, attività dei Dipartimenti nel nostro Paese, e un sistema  di ascolto e confronto degli orientamenti e atteggiamenti soggettivi dei loro operatori. Il lavoro  dell’OIP vuol favorire un cambiamento dei DP, giungendo a delineare una ipotesi di DP forte e  condivisa che possa poi essere proposta ai referenti istituzionali e politici del SSN. Ciò sarà tanto  più possibile quanto più il lavoro dell’OIP sarà ampiamente conosciuto da tutto il mondo della  prevenzione italiana, per fondare su di esso conclusioni condivise, in termini di proposte  operative. Per far questo, la sfida che sta ora davanti all’OIP sembra dunque in primo luogo una  sfida comunicativa.  Key words: Department, Prevention, Observatory, Health Organisation, Quantitative data, Quantitative surveys SUMMARY The OIP, since its creation in 2010 to the latest surveys of 2015 about the 65% of the Italian  departments of prevention, has built an epidemiological objective control system to detect  organization structures, equipment and activities of the departments in our country, as well as a  way to discuss and compare the tendencies and subjective attitudes of their operators. The work  of the OIP aims to encourage a change of DP, going as far as to outline a Hypothesis of strong  and shared DP, which could then be offered to institutional and political representatives of the  SSN. This will be all the more possible  the more the work of the OIP is widely known all over the  world from the Italian prevention, to build on it shared conclusions, in terms of operational  proposals. To do this, the challenge facing the OIP thus seems primarily a communicative  challenge.
